Artist's Comments

"the children among us laughed at the ludicrous hilarity of everything
they went back to being animals for a time and were free
the grass was a sea under the orange city lights
"
[Joseph Decker, Psychedelia 1: the Pupil, [link] ]

another ink drawing done for the "psychedelic" show,

have i already mentioned that the poem that accompanies the pictures of the series was written by the wonderful young poet Joseph Decker*hell-on-a-stick, who was so kind and generous to give me his permission to use it:floating:
i'd personally strongly suggest everybody interested in modern poetry and(or) fascinating humans to go and watch him, he's got a totally godlike status in my mind, i'm in the midst of planning bulding him some sort of shrine actually:nod:

If you must drink and draw, please do so responsibly.

There's a beautiful contrast created by text and image - turns Joseph's drug-opened free verse into a sinister and child-like dream. These work very well together :)

This, too, is very good. Your imagination is a splendid creature.

Artists are magical helpers. Evoking symbols and motifs that connect us to our deeper selves, they can help us along the heroic journey of our own lives.

I love the golden twines you've created, and the lamps are beautiful. Wonderful work

this is as though you had been there yourself. Third eye children of the beautiful city night. I could kiss you.
