:fingerscrossed: hopefully Michelle will like it and - before she gets the original - will believe me that the original colours do looks incomparably better and the flowers look far more like lilies of the valley in the original piece,it's just my scanner is simply a criminalist:shakefist:

Don't feel bad. This is wonderful, and the soft colors and splashes of white make me think of moonlight. The veil on the nymph in the center is wonderful, and it was a nice touch to give them mermaids' tails - not many people, I think, would make that kind of association with nymphs. The sheer number of faces and hair colors and textures is also very good. I quite like the shy-looking young redhead off to the left of the central figure.

Skąd ja to znam... Sama robię zdjęcia moim obrazom, bo nie mam skanera, przeważnie wychodzi dobrze, ale ostatnio aparat się zbuntował i odmawia współ;pracy, więc spędzam sporo czasu nad plikiem, zanim zacznie przypomina oryginał ;P

Basia, this is gorgeous!

Re: Your criminal scanner (such a cute idea by the way :P)

Did you ever try putting black paper at the back of your image, when you scan it face-down? The thing is, most scanner anomalies rise because the white light is so bright it goes through the watercolour and bounces off the lid and makes the colours look washed out. A black paper would solver this problem. Try it!
