Artist's Comments

oh, just a scrap, 'cause i felt like drawing something digital for a change, it will probably soon be in scraps, but i'm not sure yet, 'cause i kinda like how the atmosphere turned out to look in this one
when i was drawing a woman i admit i was very much inspired by Mrs Chan (played by Maggie Cheung) from the Wong Kar-Wai's beautiful, very beautiful movie "In the Mood for Love", Mrs Chan had such beautiful dresses in the movie:faint: and was moving with such a grace:faint: and generally the movie had such beautiful colours, i tried to use a similar colours scale' in my piece, but well, in Kar-Wai's movie there were also lots of beautiful reds and yellows, while in my scrap i left it mostly green and brown

I agree the atmosphere turned out really well! I the neck and arm proportions bother me. Despite the stylizations, the elongatied propotions in her upper body appear almost ape-ish with the stubby looking legs. However, I really like composition and concept. Who doesn't wanna walk a massive butterfly?

i like that movie too, the story and yea, it has such a strong asthetic sense in terms of colors and such. is there a story behind the butterfly?

Great idea to go for a walk with a butterfly!
