it's somehow (quick and unfortunately not-finished up, nor properly done) an R.E.M's fanart in fact, it's inspired by that piece of REM's great "Hope" song (from lovely "Up" album):

"you know that it sounds childish
that you've dreamt of alligators."

well, that song althought it's beautiful i think,actually isn't hopeful at all (beside the title of course) especially that then it is sung "but they're saying don't be frightened/ and they're killing alligators" i'm not sure what the alligators from the song symbolize in fact, but i thought dreaming of alligators must be something wonderful, so it is great pity that someone in the song is killing them! not to mention alligators are preserved species! you see firstly i wanted to draw somebody climbing the ledder seeing alligators being killed, falling down from the sky (cause as you might have observed my alligators are of flying kind ), but i didn't have time to make such piece, that would be supposed to be bigger and more, and besides i was afraid that it would look too tragically and cruelly - those alligators being killed - very sad topic after all so instead i did something small, a kind of illustration of those lines only that were about dreaming of alligators
i hope you'll like it at least a triffle, i know it's not very good, but be hopeful soon i'm going to have much more free time, 'cause yesterday at my studies finally i passed one silly little thing that was haunting me for so long (" It is a strange fate that we should suffer so much fear and doubt over so small a thing. Such a little thing...") then i'll maybe at last draw something complex and finished up

as you can see my vision of aligators is a bit a bit supernatural, don't shout at me, kind zoologists (if there are any here ) I know, i know alligators don't fly generally, but in dreams - why not?
