Artist's Comments

drawing inspired by the real construction I found on the Baltic seashore - here there is a photo : [link] , well, the fact is in the drawing I made it far less realistic looking, and added crows, I couldn't help but draw them, I just felt there is too much empty space in the pic, and besides I adore crows so much, such a beautiful birds :aww:
and I added a child at the top of the construction too
of course it's worse than the photo, but I kind of like it? hope you'll like it too? maybe at least some of you shall like it :?

Nonsense. I like this a lot better than the photo! Because it has your personal touch. The child seems lonely. But I bet he'll make friends with a crow soon.

i think this is really interesting too. the original construction was interesting, and i like your spin on it. looks kinda creepy or imposing. 'specially with the crows.

though, the crows look more like broody ravens.

hehe. ^__^

I really really really like this one Basia. You have taken something amazing that you happened to stumble upon and made it even more wonderful. Your concept of space relationships is magnificent.

thank you, Patrick,I just feel I need to go to sleep right now, 'cause you've said many far too nice things about my last drawings and I'm afraid I'm going to become shamelessly proud of myself :blushes: if i 'll read any more compliment from you, my favourite artist :worship: besides - its almost midnight here, so i'm going to have a bath and fall asleep, I actually haven't drunk any coffee today so I guess I shall fall asleep easily.
tomorrow maybe i'll submit one more picture from the vacation, I guess it's my favourite one, and that would be all

It looks imposing, but also... comforting? I can't think of the word. It's as if the crows are his friends, and he looks up as you stumble across them.
Reminds me of a character I like. "Alone? When am I ever alone?"

Spooky! Love the winding staircase :)

I've just seen the photo ... and I can say that this drawing is great
You have painted the real mystic structure, adding a misterious feeling to it ... the child surrounded by crows ... sitting on that unstable stair to nowhere ...
... it's really fantastic.

wow! the photo is great but i love your drawing more! I really love the ravens and the child seems at ease with them.

This is a lovely pic. Your style of drawing makes the construction look more lively, in my opinion. And who could add the lovely child and the swarm of crows except you? I like the stylization.
