Artist's Comments

i was a bit busy last couple of weeks, and didn't have time for making any new pictures, and i've just noticed i was really lame when it comes to submitting new things to my dA page:blushes:, so i thought i would submit some older picture, it was one of the pictures done as a commission for the lovely & highly generous lady :iconsalvamoremali:'s book of an early-medieval Irish princess, it was actually supposed to be a first illustration from the series, but i wasn't pleased with it at the time, well,i still am not entirely pleased with it, but i thought it would be interesting to submit it, just to add some variety to my gallery, because it shows a bit different style than most of my pictures,no maybe better, but just a bit different, more ornamental and "flat" somehow,
i'll probably move it to scraps i think:nod:

:giggle: well, yes you're right,he does, even though it's not exactly what the story would says:giggle: visibly i was too much concentrated on drawing his cooly-patterned-outfit to notice his definitely villainish expression and pose (:giggle: the pose looks a bit as if he was thinking: "great, a yummy little baby at last, just when i just had an apetite for a lunch":hungry:)

The king has a really expressive and individual face - great :D And I am always astonished by how good you are with textures and drapery - they technique is unexpected but really quite excellent...the bed, the clothes, the skin tones...excellently done

thank you Sebastian dear:kiss: and thank you for complementing the king-figure, you know i in general feel a bit unsure about drawing men(unless i have some gorgeous male model:flirty:), but here from all the picture i liked the king's clothes and posture and the landscape beneath the window most i think, so that was rather unexpected for me too:omg:

Capitalism and religion kill the animals, individuals and society. They can kill you in a variety of ways, slow or quick. There can be no happiness or peace on this planet, no prosperity for the masses, as long as this slavery continues.
